General Election

06May10

Reports are coming in from all over the country that people are being denied their otherwise much lauded right to vote, a right that many fanatical “if you don’t vote you don’t get to complain” types seem to consider a duty. In Sheffield Hallam students have been segregated, refused the ability to cast their vote and are currently refusing to allow the ballot box to leave the premises. Elsewhere their have been rumours that the police have been deployed to “disperse” those who are demanding their right to vote.

On the BBC, just moments ago, David Dimbleby has characterised this as “third-world politics”.
