spontaneous fucking revolt
Why is it if you’re interested in theory you have to spend all your time defending that interest from people who think that anyone pursuing theory or even, shock horror!, philosophy is somehow separate from political and economic realities. Here I am, currently living on £500 a month, desperately trying to find somewhere affordable to live before I get kicked out of my student halls, living off the cheapest food I can find and rarely able to afford to go out (let alone spend all my time in notoriously intellectual hotbed ‘coffee houses’ like Starbucks!) but still perfectly capable of thinking. Or trying to think anyway.
No, no, no. How silly of me. The working class must remain idiotic. It must wait for its betters to teach it or simply act on its own spontaneous whims without ever thinking about what those whims are or might lead to. Above all the working class must not organise itself! A pure act of violence will be enough to bring about utopia!
Well then thats it, I’m off out to have a riot and maybe a bit of an orgy. That should end of inequality, solve my housing problem, improve my ability to live as well as deal a fundamental blow to capitalism and the state. Phew! And all before dinner!
Actionism is alive and well!
